In 2008, Brandon Smith founded Formulife. Previously, Brandon had worked for the country’s largest sports nutrition distributor, and he’d seen the many ways industry players cut corners and created sub-optimal products.
From the beginning, Brandon’s best friend from middle school, Scott Fuhrman, pitched in to help. Scott had worked in manufacturing, with business and operational leadership experience that complemented Brandon’s entrepreneurial strengths. Brandon and Scott had a simple, powerful vision for a new kind of supplement manufacturer: Above all, they believed in doing the right thing for the end consumer.
Every decision they made at Formulife was about delivering exceptional products that thrilled customers, and kept them coming back. Unlike others in the industry, they built a close-knit long-term team, loyal relationships with the world’s best suppliers, and invested in a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory with a full-time staff of chemists and microbiologists.
Today, Scott serves as CEO, overseeing a 150,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility with a handpicked team of 200+ employees. Formulife is recognized as a pioneer in the art and science of formulation and flavoring, and regularly takes brands from their first launch to 9-figures in revenue.
